1. Is there a book available about buying property in Croatia?
YES!!! We are happy to endorse and promote Martin Westby's excellent and thorough 'How to Buy Property in Croatia.' It covers the whole of Croatia and provides an in-depth guide to every stage of the buying process, as well as explaining all the hidden pitfalls and providing additional information on many aspects of Croatian life and culture. It is priced at £14.95 plus postage. To order, simply click here. We first met Martin in Sheffield in 2003 and were impressed by his approach as well as his intention to provide e-updates to purchasers of his book as Croatian property law evolves.

2. Do we operate only on the island of Hvar?
95% of our business is on Hvar since this is where we live and there is more than enough here to keep us occupied. However, we have a very strong national network through our various partners, with more than 600 properties for sale nationally. For a selection of property throughout Croatia, click here. 4. How do I get to Croatia and Hvar?
The only way to get to Hvar is by scheduled ferry or catamaran. There are several arrival points on the island.
Jadrolinija is the extremely efficient ferry company that connects Hvar to the world, running up to five ferries daily from Split to Starigrad during peak months. The daily 4pm Split - Jelsa catamaran, stopping at Bol, remains our favourite connection. Their local telephone number for enquiries is 021-338333.
Croatia is a wonderful country but there are still not many reasonably-priced routes to and from the UK.
In 1990, prior to the war, there were 470,000 tourists from Britain. In 2002 there were just over 132,000. The tourist return has no doubt been hampered by the lack of cheap direct flights, but various cheap options have been launched in recent months - see below. Croatia Airlines (020 8563 0022), the national carrier, will run occasional offers from their website and during the summer runs direct flights from London and Manchester.
The advice is to research all the options below for when you want to travel. As the demand increases market forces will no doubt prevail with new carriers coming on the scene.

Ryanair - currently the cheapest flight option is to fly to Italy with Ryanair.
Ryanair to Ancona on the Italian east coast, then an overnight ferry to Split (and Vis,Hvar or Zadar) (cabins cost from £30 per person), or to Trieste and then hire a car. Another option is to Ryanair it (surely a verb in its own right) to Graz and then take the train to Zagreb.
There are perennial rumours about Ryainair coming to Croatia, but anannouncement of its first route - Dublin to Pula from 2007 - looks imminent.
Air Adriatic - Air Adriatic is a Croatian charter airline, based in Pula. They fly two MD-82s (capacity is just over 160 seats). Last year they operated charter flights between Germany and Croatia and Dublin and Croatia. This year they are flying more routes, including the new one from Stansted.
