Our commission from the buyer is 4% plus VAT (currently 22%). Unlike many agencies in Croatia, we do not take some, or even all, the commission at the pre-contract stage, but prefer to wait until the job is done and the contract completed before invoicing the client. It goes without saying that should the purchase not happen for whatever reason, no commission will be charged by us.
During the tourist season of May to September, we charge a viewing fee of 50 euro a day. While we accept that viewing fees are a novelty to the Western buyer, a policy of free summer viewings in our first year led to us being free tour guides to tourists who were looking to explore the island with a free local guide. This viewing fee is deductable from our commission in the event of purchase.
We also reseve the right to charge a small fee out of season if you are viewing with our transport. A day's viewing can take in 200km and more and the charge will be to cover our petrol costs.
Legal fees are in the region of 1%-1.5%. We are happy to recommend English-speaking lawyers for your purchase and company set-up, but would also be more than happy to work with your nominated lawyer, should you require an independent viewpoint.
